Lesley Anne works for Northern Film & Media as an Audience Development Manager on a freelance basis. She previously completed a year long post as a Cinema Development Advisor for five independent cinemas in the north east through Northern Film & Media in conjunction with the Independent Cinema Office. This post involved working with each venue to make them more profitable and culturally viable. She created business plans for each cinema which focused on developing them in the context of regional and national film exhibition practice. While Film Programme Manager for the Dukes' cinema in Lancaster, Lesley Anne was responsible for the organisation's monthly film programme. She developed a series of annual seasons and one off events around a core programme of specialised film. During Lesley Anne’s three and a half years at the Dukes she also fundraised, developed a film education programme, created one off community projects and over saw the cinema's inclusion into the UK Film Council's Digital Screen Network. |
