While studying for a combined honours degree in Theatre and Religious Studies at Lancaster University Lesley Anne gained experience writing, filming and editing short films. She also made a short documentary film on the cross sands walk over Morecambe Bay for the British Universities Film and Video Council and has completed footage for a film on the Pendle Witches for the same organisation. Lesley Anne received funding to train in screen writing with Phil Parker and is now qualified to teach his Introduction to Screen Writing course, details of which can be found here, and undertake freelance script development work. Lesley Anne combined her love of film and theatre in her first full length stage play Home Fires, which developed out of a script writing module for her degree and was subsequently commissioned and produced by the Dukes theatre in Lancaster. Lesley Anne was also commissioned to write a ten minute, two handed script for Word Market, a literature festival in South Cumbria.
